I did encounter some good fortune along the way: I only had to wait for the train for less than a minute, and the slide ways were empty, allowing me to run, Forrest, run!
I made it to the gate with a minute or so to spare. I was the last one on board and I pity the young women next to me, as I was just a bit damp from sweat.
It all worked out, because I’m writing this while sitting at an outdoor cafe with a view to the sea. Next up is getting a SIM for my phone and some coffee/pastries for the morning, but for now, it’s time to relax. Let the real adventure begin.
